The featured potter for the 2016 show is Mark Skudlarek

Mark Skudlarek was first introduced to clay while attending St. Johns University in Central MN. After graduation in 1981, he traveled to the traditional pottery village of La Borne, France and began his career as a wood-fired potter. Returning stateside in 1983, he sought a four-year apprenticeship with Todd Piker at the Cornwall Bridge Pottery in Connecticut.  

In 1988, He established Cambridge Wood-fired Pottery in Cambridge, WI and since then, making functional wood-fired pottery inspired by Far Eastern and European folk traditions that is sold locally.
